Utah April 2015 (long!)

We got to go to Utah for our Spring Break to visit Melissa who is living in the Provo area. She is working and going to go to school in the fall, probably at UVU. On our trip, I didn't take my camera.. that is a first for me, so sorry, all these are camera phone pictures. And the pictures uploaded backwards.. It is too hard to change them, so we'll start with the end. We left Thursday, April 2nd and drove to Boise. The next day we drove to Ogden and got to stay at an awesome time share of my parents, Wolf Creek in Eden Utah. It is up the mountain about a half hour from Ogden. It was beautiful and wonderful! We hope to go back again some day! We stayed there from Friday April 3 - to Thursday April 9th. That Thursday we drove to Boise and then Friday we drove home and got home around 6:30p.m.

We traveled a little over 2500 miles. This is the picture that I took when we got home of our trip odometer. And we averaged 32 miles/gallon. Not too bad for all those mountains!

When we were in Boise the last time we saw this car! Can you believe this car is a driver's ed car! Keagan was so jealous!

We were lucky and were able to take my niece, Aurora. She really misses Melissa, too! I saw her in the back seat sleeping several times, this one was the craziest!

This is in Ogden as we were getting ready to leave.

This is the Thursday before we left Ogden. Our "last supper" or lunch. We went to In and Out. I love these 3 crazies of mine!

We wanted or Aurora wanted to get a souvenir from Utah. We were laughing because there were so many shot glasses (they're just cute small glasses.. right?!).

This is at the Condo. This is what we did a lot of..
We brought the wii

The condos had a really cool clubhouse. There was a pool table, raquet ball courts, gym (ha, I don't think we really used that...) and then outside there were tennis ball courts, basketball and hot tubs. The pool was still closed. :(  And unfortunately it rained or snowed.. or both on the one of the days that we really wanted to be outside  to use the tennis courts and basketball.

Aurora, Chaz, and Melissa
Ray and Chaz. It was fun to meet the boy that Melissa is dating. :) Ray and Chaz played a game of raquetball. Ray started off good... He was ahead 3-0, but then lost. 3-11. Melissa and I had a great time watching them! At one point, Ray slammed into the wall and I Melissa and I were dying laughing!

Melissa is working on her pool skills. :)

Aurora at first didn't like raquet ball. But after a while, we couldn't get her off the courts!

If I looked this cute, you'd probably see me doing this, too.
Hahaha
Man, we miss this crazy girl (woman)!

The view from right outside out door.

Walking from the club house back to our condo.

Another day playing pool.

I know.. I know.. the pictures are blurry.. but this was so funny! We didn't take very warm clothes to Utah, we thought it would be warmer. I had only my hoodie. I had put it in the dryer to get it warm.. and dry before we went outside. It had $3 in the pocket. The money kind of went everywhere and the kids were running and grabbing it. $1 went back behind the washer/dryer. I told them whoever got it first could have it. Mad dash!! And this craziness ....

She was just getting ready to go out and she looked so cute. I had to snap a picture for her mom.

There was a lot of this going on this week.. wrestling and laughing! (This was Keagan's bed) The condo had 2 bedrooms, one with the master king bed and bathroom in it and one with two twins where the girls slept. There was also a  Murphy bed in the living room where Keagan slept.

Have I said enough how much I miss the crazy and silliness of this girl! She did not disappoint on our vacation! Ha! Putting 2 grapes in her mouth...

We went to Provo one of the days we were there and saw where Melissa lived and worked, etc. Also we got to see our friends the Millers. They just moved back to Utah after living in PA for 29 years. I didn't really know them very well, but they have been good friends to Ray's family for all those years. Sherri Kay was Young women's president when Ray was a youth. (She must of been a really young yw pres...) She was so kind to our family and took dinner to Melissa when she was sick. We have shared Christmas cards with their family for years. We got to visit them while we were in Provo.

Their house is amazing and fun!

They have a slide to go downstairs!!!!!
(I have a slide like that just laying out in my back yard. I wonder if I could figure out where to put it in my house....)

We didn't get a chance to stop, but they are working on the newer Provo temple. It is so beautiful!!!

This is downtown Provo.
As I have expressed many times, I love my missionaries! I love the relationships I get to continue with them when they go home. I love this guy! Stewart Kearney met us at Cafe Rio for dinner. That was another first for our family (minus Melissa) Yum!!!

One of the days we drove up to Logan. We met up with J.C. Price and Dylan Anderson, two more of my missionaries that I love!!!!

We also got to meet up with some of the Falter family to have ice cream. We were joking that we drove all the way to Utah to see them. :) It was great to Kylee and Lauren who live in Logan!

Dylan Anderson
He had to work at the grocery store, so we arranged that we would go stalk, I mean see him there.

Yes, one of my favorites!!! #favorite is what he likes to think of himself as...  :)  He makes my day and has almost always and still calls me, "mama shoop" Something about that just melts my heart. I love this kid, too! We went and met him and his girlfriend at the mall. It was fun visiting with him for a while!
J.C. Price and Keagan

Some more pictures of the basketball and tennis courts from another day.

On Sunday, while we were listening to conference, Melissa, Aurora and I did our nails. Jamberry they're called. Mine are still on. It was fun being together and doing this! (I forgot to get after pictures..)

Here mine are after a week being on.

More pictures of our condo. And watching General Conference together. I wanted to stay in and watch it in our comfortable clothes. I wanted to not have to worry about parking and traffic! We were laughing though at the news and commercials in Utah. There was a weather report for general conference! And one of the commercials was a Mormon message! Only in Utah!!!

Awww... my other missionaries! Zack Bishop, Adam Chichoski, Blake Green, and Jordan Torres, (But really.. who calls them by their first names?!)  They came up to our condo to visit us! It was so fun having them there! Torres and Chichoski came up earlier and Bishop and Green came up after priesthood session of conference.

Before Bishop and Green came up... tackling of Melissa...

Jordan Torres and his girlfriend Blair.
Torres... I love him! He texts me frequently! (Which I love!) He asks me crazy random questions! He also calls me "mama shoop" or sometimes just "mama" It was great to visit with him and his girlfriend!!!!

Saturday, Melissa got to watch Kylee's kids so the Falter family could go to conference. We got to play with Piper and Brody. So fun! Ray loves babies!!

Another tickle/tackle/wrestle session with Melissa and Aurora
(this was the first night that we were there)

On our drive up the mountain, to Eden (really, that is what it is called) to our Condo.

First time seeing Melissa!!!

Outside our condo on the little patio area

Pictures of our condo when we first got there... you know when it was clean... :)

More cute sleeping pictures of Aurora, but this time on the way there.

The first night we stayed with  our good friends, the Reddings in Boise. They have these two cute dogs. Aurora loves animals! She was in heaven!!!

Had to get one of Keagan sleeping, too...
Multnomah Falls, driving by

When we left.. it was sooo foggy! It was mostly foggy until we reached Portland area.
