Just starting....

O.k. I'm finally doing this and got it figured out, at least I hope I did. Heres a few things that have been happening in our home. I guess I don't quite know how to get the pics under the words they're about... I 'll have to figure that out, but heres a start....

All of the fun summer stuff started this week, free school lunch and free movies (which we didn't make it to this week) and
Keagan went to cub scout camp this morning and was soo excitied. Last year he had such a good time and his good friend, Landon, got to come this year, so he had a lot to look forward to. We'll see how it went tonight.
Melissa is going to drama camp this week. It is from 10 to noon and then she has a performance on Friday night.
Yesterday I went and got 2 flats of strawberries at Spooners and got everything ready to make jam. I wanted to hurry and get it done while it was a little cooler, it is suppose to hot this weekend and it is miserable making jam in the heat! Melissa and her friend Lauren helped. They were really a big help. We ended up making 25 pints and 10 1/2 pints. Hopefully that will last us until next year. (6 batches) Year before last I ran out of homemade jam and had to buy some..... homemade is sooo much better!! We have raspberries growing in the side yard, too, so in a few weeks we'll be making some raspberrry jam, but not as much as strawberry. YUM!
School got out last Thursday, June 19th. Melissa had her 6th grade graduation. (Picture w/ some of her girl friends, her in her fancy dress) I can't believe she is going to middle school! Makes me feel old. I even made it through w/out crying.... I know a miracle. She really dressed up for the occasion. We went dress shopping and she found a formal that she loved, so I let her get it, especially after seeing the price tag..... clearance $11. Yeah! The shrug to make it modest cost more than that.
(the first 6 pics are of our camping trip) As soon as school was out we went home, finished loading the van and took off to Moses Lake to go camping.... at least my kind of camping. My mom and Tom have a camp ground membership and they have camp trailers you can rent.... w/ the best part a bathroom! Ahh my kind of camping. The first day was the hottest @ 93 degrees, but after that, thankfully it wasn't too hot - in the upper 70s. On the way over we stopped at Snoqualmie (sp?) Pass and there was still some snow! The kids walked and played in it a little.
We rented ski - doos one day for a few hours and had a lot of fun!! I think the funniest part was my mom fell off the back when she was getting on, after I knew she was ok, and she came up laughing we were all rolling! Mom and tom brought the boat, so we had fun on that too. Sunday, after we went to church there, we went on a Sunday drive. We went to Soap lake, Dry Falls, and saw the Grand Coolee dam. Very fun. One of the pics is Keagan in the visitors center in the diving gear they used then, they said the head gear itself weighs 80 lbs! Monday morning we got up, packed up and came home and started the running again. I got most of my laundry done, but my house is still a wreck!
