First day of school 2011

First day of School 2011. Melissa is a sophomore now at North Thurston High School. Wow! I even got up with her to make sure she got up and went to Seminary (early morning church class that starts at 6 a.m.!) And of course I have to do my duty and take first day of school pictures!
She's giving me the "Shoop" smile, and really.. hurry up and take the picture! Can't believe we are in the - yes, it's dark out in the morning, again! Dad taking her to seminary! Keagan has the same look Melissa gave me...
Keagan is going into 6th grade this year. His last year at Elementary school.
It was a little sad.. he was the only one, usually I have Jadyn & Aurora. No more Jadyn this year! She is going to Aspire middle school. We will miss her. (Even though she didn't talk much, it felt a little empty with out her this morning)!Finally..
Got a smile out of him.

He said to me this morning, "Mom, why can't I be one of those "normal" kids"..

I said, what do you mean?!

Him- You know one whose mom doesn't take pictures!

I was teasing him on the way to school that I was going to honk and blow him kisses..

MOM, DON'T!!!

He really thought I might... I'm not that mean!

Have a good day kids! I didn't even cry this year... I think that is a first! I can't wait to hear all about it when you get home!

Last day of summer

Some of the moms that were there. I can think of 4 that are missing from this picture. It was such a beautiful day that several of us had the same idea.. lets go to Long Lake for one last hurrah of summer break! It was fun to have so many people we knew there. I just wish we could of stayed longer. We had a tight schedule to keep to, Open House & Melissa's dance practice that afternoon & evening.
Melissa is so good with all of the little kids & they love her!
Future Life Guard?!Melissa & her friend Brooklyn have been talking all summer of the crazy things they would like to do...
This was top of their list.. and they finally got to do it on the last day of summer break.
Dress -up in the Shark costumes & walk around at the Lake!

The little kids thought they were pretty funny, too.
They even had some random picture come up to them & ask if they could take their picture!
Another future Life Guard!
