lots of posts

My computer has not been taking my memory card to upload pictures, so the last couple of times that I have got pictures I have had to go to Walgreens to get them uploaded to a cd! I have no idea what the problem is, but it is a pain. I didn't realize how often I upload pictures! That is why I blogged soo much today, I got my pictures back!

Capital service project

Our youth got to go to the capital to put up Christmas lights. It was really, really cold, but lots of fun! After they put up the lights we went inside to warm up and Bro. Shoop took us on a little tour while we waited for pizza.

carving the pumpkin

I think Keagan is a little spoiled! :) I would of made him dig out the seeds/guts himself. Keagan was the only one who wanted to carve pumpkins~ sigh~ my kids are getting too old! I was running out the door(I don't even remember where to!) and Melissa was gone, and didn't care if she carved pumpkins so Ray & Keagan carved his. He didn't want to touch the insides of the pumpkin so dad did it for him...

This was all I got before I had to go.

Like Father, Like Son!

Sometimes you capture those moments that to you as a parent are just too cute! This is one of them for me! Keagan went up to our room to watch tv and and fell asleep in the chair w/ the remote in his hand... can't let go of the remote!

Just like his dad, remote in hand and falling asleep! :)

Happy Halloween

Here are the kids in their Halloween costumes. They are getting too big! I remember when they were little and cute, I guess now they are big and cute?!

Check out those boots! Lucky for her they zip down the back, can you imagine having to tie and lace those up?!

Fake blood and all! Keagan the vampire!

Tongue tied

Keagan is tongue tied. He has a little piece of skin that won't let him stick his tongue out all of the way. These are the best pictures I could get of him, he wasn't really cooperating. But as you can somewhat see he can't stick his tongue out all of the way. He was born this way and it has never caused any problems, until lately. We went to the dentist a few weeks ago and it is starting to pull his gums away from his teeth so he needs the little piece of skin snipped and it will be "normal". He goes in next month to have this procedure done, it will only take a few minutes, they numb it and then clip.
I felt bad a week or so ago he had a sore throat and I was going to give him some of the throat spray - I told him to stick out his tongue and say ahhhh while I sprayed it. He said mom, I can't, remember I'm tongue tied. I don't know why that struck me as funny, but it gave me the giggles.
I can't wait until next month to get him an icecream cone to lick! :)

Crazy weather~ November 6th, 2009

Last week we had some crazy weather! I saw a flash of lightning, then a heard a huge clap of thunder and then hail! It hailed so much that it looked like it snowed! It was really fun to watch! And listen to, it was loud! It happened @1:20 in the afternoon. I only know this because I was suppose to be at the school at 1:35 and I waited for it to stop before I left, I was a few minutes late.

Our road!

Am I crazy?!!

Here are a few of the kids in their Halloween costumes, I love the "chick magnet" costume! (far right)
Aurora was soo excited to be included, too!

Melissa & Brooklyn had a Halloween party at our house and there were 22+ or - a couple of teenagers here! + Keagan had a couple of friends, Aurora & her friend Regan, too, and a couple of my friends to keep me company and sane! :) Wow! All had a good time, we had homemade root beer (always a hit!), homemade choc. chip cookies and then some other goodies. It surprised me that they didn't really eat that much, just those two things.
Mostly they just hung out and visited. We did have the air hockey table out, karaoke, wii, and the doughnut on a string game.
One of the funnier things we did is Melissa & Ray showed them the bomb shelter and when they all got down there I turned off the lights (the switch is in in the kitchen) and listened to them scream and then quickly turned the lights back on.

~Here are the lovely hosts~

Porter

Keagan felt left out, so I let him invite a couple of friends, too. It mostly helped him to not be the annoying little brother - he then had someone to play with. The little kids had a lot of fun w/ the doughnut on the string game.

I think everyone had a good time, I think next time we'll have less kids, though. It was a little crowded!

Pumpkin Patch

My silly kids! I don't know where they got their love for cats, but it is their favorite thing about going to the pumpkin patch, holding and petting the babies. No we're not getting another cat! Remember they grow up! One is enough!

No fair, Melissa! You have both of them.

We ran into the Martins when we were there. (Great minds think a like!)

She is soooo strong! :)

Now some scrapbook pages of the pumpkin patch:
Isn't he adorable! (of course I'm a little biased!)
