I was reading carolyn's blog and it reminded me of a funny 911 story. When I was a nanny when Melissa was a baby - so almost 13 years ago... the mom told me this story...
The little boy who I nannied for was @ 2 years old and liked to play on the phone and would dial random numbers. He also liked to play w/ the silverware and take it outside to play in the dirt. Sometimes he would take the nice silver out and the mom would get upset w/ him. One day he accidentally called 911 and left the phone off the hook and went on to playing other things. The next thing the mom knew was there were police cars and an aid car w/ all of the flashing lights, etc. at her house. She was of course was embarrassed and a little perplexed, when they told her that it was fine, they (dispatch) had figured out it was a child playing around and accidentally dialed 911 until they heard, "Put the knives away!! You can't take them out to play, I said PUT THE KNIVES AWAY!"
